If you're looking for quality and comfort, this is NOT Hotel for you. If you are looking for a small and clean room to base yourselves at whilst in Valencia, where you are only in the room to wash and sleep, this IS the Hotel for you. We had a twin room for 5 nights. It had air conditioning, a little TV and own small bathroom (very small). It was basic, clean, towels changed and maid service every day we were there giving it a quick freshen up. The Reception was 24 hours, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The location of the Hotel is Brilliant. It's 2 minutes walk from Xavista Metro, and at the top of a lovely "strip" of Bars/Cafe's and Restaurants with outdoor seating there. If you have ever been to Las Ramblas in Barcelona, it's like that, but without the traffic. The station is on the Direct Line from the Airport, so you only have one Metro to catch to get there. There's a Subway and a McDonalds on the same street, and a Burger King on the next Street, so if you dont fancy eating at one of the Cafe's/Restaurants, you can grab something else. There's also a Kebab Shop/Pub/Restaurant too. Overall, if you're not bothered about the standard of the room, but want to be somewhere cheap, cheerful and in the best location possible, book here.
Small and very basic, but we knew that before we went and paid right price.

Very kind personal. The hotel is in the central part of the town, very close to bus stop, metrostation and railway station.

The location was very good, 2min walk from Estacion del Nord/Plaza del Torros, located in a little street full of smaller shops and restaurants. It was 5min walk from a grocery store and a mall, and maybe 7-10min walk from the Gothuc Quarter.
The staff was so curt it was almost impolite, definitely did not leave a pleasant feeling. The room was tiny, the bathroom was appropriately sized for thumbelina, and the shower had two settings: scalding hot or glacier-cold. The floor was tiled and seemed to have dirt engrained in it, and our towels were consistently dirty. The beds were horrible. It was metal springs masquerading as a mattress and a rock attempting to be a pillow. The room was also incredibly noisy; hope you get lucky with the quality of the street performers, because you'll be hearing them till 4am.

The girl working at the desk when I got there was friendly.
Not for me I'm afraid. A stuffy, claustrophobic, internal room with a "window" that opened to some sort of air-shaft. The room was quite grotty, and had a strangely discoloured tiled floor. The bed clothes looked a bit stained and the light in the room emitted a constant low-intensity buzz. In fairness, the bathroom looked spotless, so much so that I would have preferred to sleep in the bath. At 35 quid a night I guess you get what you pay for. However hotel rooms can be "simple", "small" and "basic" and still be reasonably pleasant and comfortable. This definitely wasn't. Felt sorry for the girl at the desk, who looked like she had to spend most of her working day listening to complaints.

Location location location! This is the perfect location (for me anyway). It's in the old town which is brilliant and surrounded by bars and cafes. Shops everywhere! Further north of the old town is very quiet during the day but lights up at night and further south you have a more hippy student vibe at night. Buses and public transport were fantastic in this area plenty of routes drop you off on your doorstep. I found the city of arts and science was easily walkable, but I wasn't fond of the walk to the beach and recommend the bus. And the fact there was wi-fi is always a plus!
For me the hotel was a place to sleep and that's all. So if that's what you want you won't be disappointed.
